Intel® Geti™ 2.3.0#

Release Summary#

The Intel® Geti™ 2.3.0 release is now available; the updates and fixes include the following:

Release Details#

This section covers additional details on the new Intel® Geti™ functionality.

Improved Browser Memory Consumption Efficiency#

Reduced memory consumption in browser operations now ensures a smoother and more responsive experience when interacting with media-heavy pages. This update allows faster uploads and more efficient media viewing for increased productivity and better user experience.

Enhanced Bulk Annotation Performance#

The data annotation computation process was further optimized, making bulk uploads significantly faster. This enhancement in image uploads and dataset imports allows quicker data processing and minimal user waiting times.

UI Enhancements#

Updates to the UI, especially within the project media gallery, have been implemented to enhance performance and usability. These improvements make navigating and managing media more efficient, ensuring a smoother workflow.

Expanded REST API Functionality#

The REST API now includes functionality to annotate non-rotated bounding boxes in projects that involve rotated detection. This development provides more versatility and precision in handling complex annotation tasks.

New Video Tooltip Information#

To aid in better media management and assessment, video tooltips now display the resolution of the video directly. This feature provides immediate insight into the video quality without requiring further steps to ascertain this information.

Flexible Video Uploads#

With the new update, the system now accepts video file extensions in any format, eliminating the issue of case sensitivity during video uploads. This change simplifies media uploads by ensuring that all video files are recognized regardless of how their extensions are typed.

Clean Up Disk Space by Deleting Older Model Versions#

Users can now optimize their server storage by deleting unused Intel® Geti™ model versions. Deleting model versions can significantly free up disk space in case of models with many versions, and models that are trained on large datasets. Deleted models are visually indicated as such in the user interface. Please note that only inactive models can be deleted, and that deleted model cannot be recovered.

Support Intel Geti Installation on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)#

From version 2.3.0 onwards, users can install Intel® Geti™ on their RedHat Enterprise Linux 9.4 infrastructure, in accordance with our Intel® Geti™ hardware specifications.

Enhanced Visual Representation of Models and Score Insights#

User interface improvements have been made to make it easier for users to quickly view the model details. Model type and optimization recommendations are shaped within one single model block figure, where project score has a half-round bar (instead of one line before) for better visualization of the model score.

Improved Media Upload Performance#

The media upload functionality has been improved to provide a smoother and more responsive experience for users. This includes implementing optimizations that reduce server-side load, thereby improving the efficiency and speed of the upload process. The improvements ensure that media uploads are processed quickly, minimizing wait times and reducing the likelihood of server congestion. As a result, users can expect faster uploads and a more seamless interaction with Intel® Geti™.
