Dataset Export / Import#

Start Your Project with a Dataset Import#

Important

When you import a dataset, a new project will be created with a project name you will specify in the wizard for creating a project from a dataset.

Begin a new project by importing a dataset. To do this, go to the Home screen, click the v-shaped icon next to Create new project and select Create from dataset. A step-by-step dialog will guide you through the setup.

Step 1: Upload Your Dataset#

First, upload your dataset in .zip format. This may take some time depending on file size, but you can minimize the dialog and continue working; progress notifications will appear at the bottom of your screen. For detailed error messages, select See details.

Important

To track the upload progress, click the jobs-icon at the top of the screen. Once the upload completes, you’ll be prompted to specify project details.

Step 2: Specify Project Details#

Name your project, select a task type, and click Next. The system may auto-detect the task type, simplifying your job.

Step 3: Select Your Labels#

Now, choose which labels from your dataset to import. Unselected labels can still have their associated media imported; simply leave their boxes unchecked and opt to “Import the media with labels that you haven’t selected.”

Images without imported labels will be marked as “Revisit,” making them easy to identify. To view these specifically, use the filter option filter-icon in the gallery view.

Complete Your Project Setup#

Once labels are selected, your project is ready. All media will be in place, with or without labels as per your choice, and you can begin working on your project immediately.
